Conversations and Random Peeves

Conversation with BB:

I put a Scooby-Doo DVD in for him to watch and I start rocking out and dancing to the music.

BB: You’re my funniest mom, EVER!! (Good thing, I would hate to be his unfunniest mom!)

**Does it drive anyone else crazy when people walk in the Exit doors and out the Entrance doors?? I have noticed this ALL THE TIME at Target since we have moved to this town and I bitch to Justin about it every time he comes with. It is so damn annoying. In huge letters, on the doors, it says “IN” and “OUT”. I don’t think it could be much simpler. Especially when I have cart full of stuff and a million kids and I have to WAIT for the stupid people coming in the Out door before I can get out. Next time I am just going to run them down.

**Finished up the school supply shopping today. Final count: 11 folders, 10 notebooks, 1 binder, 112 crayons, 24 colored pencils, 40 markers, 10 glue sticks, 4 bottles of glue, 58 pencils, 3 backpacks (oops, still need to get one more), 2 lunchboxes, 3 pairs of tennis shoes, 10 red pens, 10 blue pens, 2 highlighters, 4 sharpies, 2 hand sanitizers, 2 disinfecting wipes, 4 boxes of Kleenex, 4 pencil pouches, 200 sheets looseleaf paper, 2 scissors, erasers, socks, underwear, and I won’t even mention the clothes!!

**What’s up with Brett Favre?! The Jets?? If you are going to retire, just do it already. I can’t believe I even shed a tear during his retirement speech -and I am not even a big fan of his!!

Oh my goodness! I better start saving my money before L starts school next year. It must cost a fortune. Ahh!

Wow, I never thought to take a pic of the plethora of school supplies that are needed. Tyler is starting junior high and he needs as much as all 3 girls put together. He even needs specific gym clothes…whatever happened to wearing any old pair of shorts and a t-shirt?
I am totally with you on the Brett Farve thing…I don’t understand why athletes retire just to come back in a couple of months.

Our school used to ask for 20 glue sticks, 100 pencils, reams of copier paper and loads of other stuff then they put it in a closet and as the kids need it they are to go to storage and get it. This includes the kids that their parents don’t buy anything not cause they can’t- because they don’t. Then around January they send home a note asking for more. It’s crazy. Our Staples has $0.01 CENT pencils and other stuff.

  • Two blessings from above

Brett Favre news has been on every TV in our house. My one son is the biggest Green Bay fan and Brett Favre is his hero. I was hoping he would come to the Vikings. We need a quarterback. I do agree though if you retire stay retired. I think I would have taken the 20 million they offered him to stay retired. It is amazing the school supplies kids need these days. My kids are always out of pens and pencils by the end of the first month. I guess we supply the whole school too.
    Have a great weekend.

I have to agree with the exit and entrance sign pet peeve, I mean really we’re a (predominantly) literate society… c’mon people!

  • La Familia Garcia

That’s alot of school supplies! I guess it adds up if you have more than one in school!
Oh and sorry..that was me going in the out!! You can run me over though!
