Week 3, 9/26/08: -2 lbs. I know, I know, everyone always says Good Job, but I have to admit that I am really disappointed that it is not more. I mean, what the heck? I am working SO HARD at exercising and eating right and I am only down a total of 4.8 lbs in THREE weeks? Ugh. I should be at my goal weight by the time I am 40 at this rate. The only thing that gives me a little pleasure is that I can totally notice a difference in my muscles.
Things that worked for me this week:
*I cut out the Diet Coke. Haven’t had any since Sunday. AMAZING difference in my hunger/craving level. Seriously. I am not giving up the coffee though.
*The tomato basil wraps I wrote about last week? Try them with 4 Schwans boneless buffalo chicken pieces (warm) and lettuce and a dash of reduced fat cheese. Delicious.

Week 2, 9/19/08: +1.4 lbs. What?! Are you kidding me? I have been working my ass off EVERY weekday at the gym, doing good at WW… and I GAIN weight? Obviously, I am hugely disappointed. I can shake it off this week, but I better have a huge loss next week. The only thing I can think of to explain it, is it is almost THAT time and I always gain weight the week before.
Things that worked for me this week:
*Megan found these tomato basil wrap things at Walmart near the deli and they are only one point. And yummy!
*Songs that get me through my workout:
*Dolly Parton & Kenny Rogers, Islands in the Stream. Don’t laugh. I love Dolly.
*Anything with Nelly Furtado or Timbaland.
*Monster Magnet, Space Lord.
*The Offspring, Hammerhead
*The Charlie Daniel’s Band, Devil Went Down to Georgia

Week 1, 9/12/08: -3.8 lbs. It was a short week, but I am down 3.8 from Monday. I am happy with that. I busted my ass at the gym this week and have done well with Weight Watchers except for Monday. I was dragging a little at the gym today, but I guess that is to be expected on day 5 in a row my first week. I am relieved to have two days off from working out however! ;o)
Things that worked for me this week:
*At the end of my cardio workouts when I just want to be done, “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” by Kylie Minogue and “Hung Up” by Madonna help me pick up the pace and dig down deep for the energy to get me through it.
*Schwan’s Tomato Basil pizzas. YUMMY. And only 4 points.
*Having a PBJ on Sara Lee 45-calorie delightful bread and salad with a boiled egg or two for lunch. I’m usually hungry. ALL the time. This helps curb my appetite. Must be the protein.
*Trying to not eat after supper and if I have a glass of wine or a beer, I stop at one. Control, Melissa, Control.
