Hot For the Holidays Challenge

Weekly Progress, Pt. II

Week 6, 10/17/08: -2 lb. I’ll take it but I plan on doing better next week. I wasn’t overly great with tracking points this week.

Week 5, 10/10/08: +3.8 lb!!! Dang! Ouch! Let’s start with the positive: I went to the gym every weekday (until today), didn’t have any pop once again, and I ate decent. Until yesterday. Then I had a salt binge. Popcorn, pretzels… Oops. My workouts were not as good this week as they have been in past weeks, actually, I did have my BEST workout day this week, but then had 2 not-so-good days after it. So what else can I say? I will do WAY better this next week and kick butt on both the eating and exercising!

Week 4, 10/3/08: -1 lb. This shit is really starting to get old. I am exercising more than I have ever in my life. I am doing awesome at Weight Watchers. I have now lost 5.8 lbs total in FOUR WEEKS. So agonizingly ssslllooooow. My hubby says my butt and calves are way smaller, but he has to say that if he wants to get laid.

*It has been almost 2 weeks since I have consumed any pop. That is huge for me!

*I have been getting headaches towards the ends of the days… not migraines, just headaches. This tells me my body is lacking in something. I know it is not from the lack of pop, I am wondering what it could be though. I should start taking vitamins, but I am so sensitive to them as well. The only kind I can take without getting headaches or nauseated are children’s or the chewy kind.

*I am totally loving my shoes. No pain at all (except for my bloody toe).

*I wish my boobs would get smaller.

Hot for the Holidays Challenge

Week 6:

Monday: No gym, no workout. Sasa stayed home sick from school. Didn’t leave house.

Tuesday: Back to business. Sort of. 20 minutes elliptical -something really odd happened. About 15 minutes into it, my heart started racing and I began sweating more than usual and I thought I was going to lose my breakfast right then and there. I don’t know if I am getting THE virus or because I was pushing myself hard or because I hadn’t been to the gym in 5 days. 25 minutes bike, 30 minutes arm/ab weights.

Wednesday: 30 minutes elliptical, 20 minutes arc trainer, 25 minutes leg/ab weights. I took it easier on the weights really involving my knees today, my left knee has been giving me problems this week and it is usually my GOOD knee! I finally feel good about my workout again though.

Thursday: 30 minutes elliptical, 20 minutes bike, 25 minutes arm/ab weights.

Hot for the Holidays

I am starting a new post since the other one was getting long. To see previous weeks, look other hot for the holidays posts.

Week 5:

Monday: Had to drag my ass to the gym today. Still recuperating from the weekend. 30 minutes elliptical, 15 minutes arc trainer, 30 minutes leg/ab weights.

Tuesday: 30 minutes elliptical, 25 minutes bike, 30 minutes arm/ab weights. I did a 10:08 mile today. Oh, I cannot wait until I get a 9:59!! Happy day!

Wednesday: 25 minutes elliptical, 20 minutes arc. That’s it. It was so hard. I just cannot get over this sinus crap and I was so sick of listening to myself sniff and I have a sinus headache and have been SO SORE. At least I got the cardio in, that’s something, right?!

Thursday: Still not feeling the greatest. 30 minutes elliptical, 30 minutes weights. Oh, well I can’t have good weeks EVERY week!

Week 4:

Monday: 10 minutes treadmill, 15 minutes arm weights, 100 crunches. I didn’t do so hot today. Worked out in my “basement gym.” The kids are out of school and we were going to head to the Y, but it hurt like hell when I put my shoes on. Why, you ask (click on it to view large!)?
In all my elegant grace last night, while heading to bed, I stubbed my toe. Not only did it rip off the skin on top, but half the toenail down to the bottom as well. Awesome. Plus it keeps bleeding all the time. EW. So, anyway, not the workout I was hoping for today, but I will probably do some Wii Fit later on today as well.

Tuesday: 30 minutes elliptical, 15 minutes arc trainer, 30 minutes leg/ab weights. Phew. Back at it.

Wednesday: 30 minutes elliptical, 20 minutes arc trainer, 30 minutes arm/ab weigihts.

Thursday: 30 minutes elliptical, 15 minutes arc, 20 minutes leg/ab weights. Brought the boy with me. He whined for me to hurry up after the first half hour. That is going to have to change. Love my new shoes!

Friday: 30 minutes elliptical, 20 minutes bike, 30 minutes arm/ab weights. The boy didn’t come with this time. He was too sore. Oh, poor baby.

We have officially begun the “Hot for the Holidays” challenge! Check it out over here! I am going to have a separate post to keep track of my workouts, etc. So many of my real-life and blogger friends have signed up with me. I am so excited -you guys are awesome!

We went out of town for my Grandma’s birthday party on Saturday afternoon but drove home that night because I am just sick of being gone all the time! Justin is back at work and I don’t know if we will be able to go visit him this time around since our weekends are consumed by activities.

K and A had their first game on Saturday. The Bears lost 18-14, but it was SO close. If there would have been time for one more play… All four kids are starting swimming lessons today and A also starts jazz tomorrow. Our evenings are going to be B-U-S-Y.

We took K to the doctor on Friday evening…. Diagnosis: Strep Throat. We took him in for a really bad side ache. He hadn’t even been complaining of a sore throat. Weird!

My two DUH! moments this week:

*I was checking out cleaning supplies at the store today and decided to give the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser one more try… I haven’t been too impressed with it in the past. I look at the back of the package and learn you are supposed to WET it before use. Aha!

*This one is really stupid. Saturday morning it is really chilly as we are driving to the game. I cannot get my heat in my Tribeca to work for anything. Finally I give in and call Justin to ask if there is anything special I should do. He asks me if I turned the temperature dial up. Of course I did. Only I had turned it DOWN and set it to 65 -the lowest it goes. It just didn’t click in my brain for some reason. We got a good laugh when I finally figured it out. Duh.

I visited my favorite hair stylist while I was out of town and got my hair touched up and chopped a few inches off. There is something about the changing of seasons and I always end up doing drastic things to my hair, like dying it dark brown or cutting a huge amount off. I was very proud of myself for keeping my same color and keeping it a medium length. ;o)
